Republican signs had to change 2 letters (Pence to Vance). Democratic yard signs had to remove 1 name.

Unfortunately to many voters are concerned about being entertained by the president instead of looking at their record and policies.

You are incorrect in thinking that there is only a small sliver of the American populace being swayed right now. The swing voter is a very small group, but there is a much larger group that can be swayed here: the nonvoter. A massive number of eligible voters do not vote because they don't think that there is a difference between the parties, that their interests aren't being represented, or even that it is too much of a hassle. People often forget that inner city precincts often have long wait lines, people have to struggle to be off of work at the right times to vote, for child care, to gather the documents and money to get an ID that are accepted at the polls, and there is a reason Georgia made it illegal for people to give food and water to those waiting in line for hours in the heat. It is much easier for some to vote than others and, as a result, many potential voters don't vote. If you give them something to vote for, you can see a significant upturn in voters.

Keep in mind that a major factor why polls didn't know that Donald Trump would win in 2016 is because he energized voters on the right that were considered unlikely to vote. The United States is tilted to the right rather strongly, and while there isn't much data on it, between that bias and the fact that Americans tend to agree with ideas coming from the Berniecrats, and poverty is such a high factor in not voting, it is highly likely there is a much larger number of left wing voters not voting. If so, Kamala wouldn't want some centrist like Buttigieg or Whitmer running with her, she would want someone who is on the left wing of the Democratic Party who can activate the base and get people out.

Also, note that a swing voter is not politically literate and thinks they are smart by alternating votes between Democrats and Republicans. Getting a swing voter helps in your contest, but not in downballot contests. Getting a member of your base to turn out is much more likely to result in downballot votes getting you state legislatures, governorships, and legislative seats.

I think that given joe’s age it’s relatively realistic to argue that due to the fact that Biden ran in primaries with Harris it would be assumed that his vp would replace him on the ballot in a similar way as to how she would replace him as president if he stepped down

I am just glad we got a presidential candidate UNDER 70 again. We need to nominate younger people not dinosaurs.
