REA Group Economist Anne Flaherty says the high immigration numbers are one of the “key factors” driving up Australia’s property market.

Ms Flaherty told Sky news Australia that rent is particularly growing as a result of immigration due to newcomers being “more likely to be renters”.

“What we’ve also seen is that the number of new homes we’re building has far fallen short.”

Not only is immigration driving up house prices it's contributing to the downfall of our society due to so many new arrivals not willing to fit in but hell, -bent on changing our way of life to suit themselves

The number of builders going broke is still rising. The government ramped up immigration to make the GOP look far better than it is and also hope they vote Labor. This during a housing, rental hospital bed and classroom shortage. Well done Labor.
