A joy to shoot, up to 32” draw. Durable and perfect for “survival”

Finally, someone is making something close to what I consider the top "survival" takedown bow, the Stream-eze bow!
Solid fiberglass, short 56", rounded cross section, english style, with fake, plastic horn nocks.
And it's a takedown.
I may have to order one!

My bow just arrived, it came in a nice fabric double pocketed sleeve for each of the limbs, really impressed.

A bunch of American companies made good cheap fiberglass bows from fishing rods around 1950. Stream Eze by South bend fishing tackle. They sold for about 7 dollars then and now about 70 dollars and still shoot well over 50 years later. A .5 inch arrow pass.

Was tempted to buy this bow three weeks ago just for fun. It costs almost nothing where I live. Longbows are still very much correct for asiatic archery as they have been found in graves of the less wealthy in the same time period and locations as composite bows.

Vice-versa for Europe, composite horn bows were always available, just not common for the average soldier to own one as they cost much more to make than a longbow.

I snagged one of these a few months ago and it's been a ton of fun. I got tired of my self bows snapping when I practice in subfreezing temps. I've been seeing more and more fiberglass longbows in the traditional ELB style around. I think it's fantastic given the price of a yew or ash bow, or the time needed to tiller one yourself.

Mine arrived today. Nice quality bag, the bow itself feels really good. Having atrocious weather here at the moment so will be a couple of days before I can fire it, and it doesn't sound too bad at all when I plucked the string. Very happy with it. My first alibow order and won't be my last

As someone who makes shorter bows using fiberglass, I would like to see a shorter version around 70llb @24". Not a long bow but something shorter, lighter and quick. The arrows can be 26".

Even though I respect different cultures in Archery, I would still wonder 🤔 why would it be such a taboo to do a thumb draw on a longbow.

I just bought one. But mine has pins at the top of the handle and hole to fasten them with to make it sturdier. Putting string silencers on it and adjust the brace. I get no vibration or hand shock
