Did Dad Proud! He was dead chuffed when i told him Johnny Cash &June Carter were headlined Glastonbury.
I'd get to see him, experience for Dad & feed him my privilege to experience Dads Idol live.
Dad was ecstatic& new top topic of all time, all the time.
Up to Glastonbury it was refreshing to see Dad feel excited about anything...
Johnny Cash his ultimate idol his God.
My Dad died Sept 1994 so seeing Johnny&June& how it uplifted those last few months is a gift to reflect back on
Pride that my Dad in the last months& moments felt love, passion, pride
my Dad had his mojo back☆

One of the best things of this show is Johnny does an interview where he talks honestly about why he was banned from the Grand Ol Opry. It was made before or during this concert's weekend and he speaks of the conflict between the old school and the up and comers at the time such as him and Elvis! I think it is part of this series of videos. He talks openly about his demons and confronting them.

Was near the front with little Carl "Jy" Dumbell and John "Quatro Lamparess (4 eyes ) and me Fat Marillion Darren...From Liverpool..Oxford to the Festival and back ..in the festival, asleep in the festival, drunk in the festival, stoned in the festival, fighting in the festival, starving in the festival, tripping in the festival, the 3 of us never ever thinking about getting back as friends after the festival...Johns still not got his glasses back after the festival...
