I hate this. Sometimes I wonder should firetrucks9 go so fast through busy streets. I know they're trying to save a burning fire of a home but if all the people are out of the home it's not worth risking a firefighters life or other drivers who get caught up in this. Radio ahead and see if any people are in the burning home or business. You want to get there but not kill yourself and other people. The reason I say this is because a firetruck was coming down a one lane street going the wrong way to get to a fire. I never heard the firetruck because I had my radio on and windows up. I saw a man waving his hand and rolled down my window telling me to watch out for the firetruck. I barely missed be hit head on with the firetruck. That man saved my life that day and I will never forget it. One lane was blocked with traffic and couldn't pull over so they came down the wrong lane to get to the fire. This was careless on their part because people from other streets could have pulled directly in front of the truck. I don't want anyone's home to burn but if the truck had a accident what good would this do. Your house burns unless another truck is in route. There will be different trucks going to a fire so let one get there safe.
