‘Cut From The Stars’ is the first single from ‘Mirror To The Sky’ out 19th May 2023

Lyrics:
Starlight
Gaze out
Walkabout
International dark sky park

Desert
Twilight
Second sight
International dark sky park

Relate
Reach out
Fathom what life is all about
Each atom cut from the stars

When I’m in need of some perspective
I find my place in the jewelled collective

Daylight glare blinding me
Only after dark may I clearly see

Look up
Breathe out
Walkabout
International dark sky park

I wanna be in zero G
International dark sky park

Relate
Reach out
Fathom what life is all about
Each atom cut from the stars

In the light of pure perfection
Troubles are so very small

Planetary sanctuary
I touch
I can reflect it all

Envision
Envision
(Ignite the spark)
Vision in vision
We have transmission after dark

Andromeda
Dog Star splendor
Horizon lightening
Distant thunder

A canvas for creation theory
Now the hunter’s in the southern sky
Have you really travelled so many light years to
find us
So confused and so careless
In desperate need of awareness

Our pale blue dot
Dangling in the crossfires
Unravelling
(Reeling and reeling)
But what of the healing

In the light of pure perfection
Troubles are so very small

Planetary sanctuary
We touch
Retrace
Embrace it all

Envision
Envision
(Ignite the spark)

Vision in vision
(Point of ignition)

Envision
Envision
(Ignite the spark)
Vision in vision

Vision our mission

We have transmission after, after dark
After dark

This song is addictive. I am listening to it all the time. Who would think that YES could do this now ? This just says how great a band they are.

I still miss Jon Anderson Allan White, and R.I.P Chris Squire.

When I bought my first Yes album in 1974, I never thought that I would be liking a new song on a worldwide ephemeral connection in 2023 but there you go 💖

Wow, I'm so surprised to learn this album was made! I was incredibly fortunate to see Yes in concert when I was 15(early 80s). Their music changed me.

I recently saw the latest incarnation of YES in Cincinnati. It was a wonderful and unpredictable concert. They started with "On the Silent Wings of Freedom" and it went from there. I'm in my 60s and it will be wonderful to YES around till I start my real life in heaven.

I can still remember the first time I heard Yes back in 1971, would have never guessed that they would still be around now that I am almost 60 years old.

They have created a rocket ship out of music and take me places I never knew existed.

New Yes music! Caught me me by surprise! Love the band…first show West Palm Beach Auditorium 1973 …one foot in front of Steve Howe…unforgettable!

Wow, what an excellent lead song! Billy's bass playing really stands out this time. Love the sound of Steve's guitar, his playing (as alway) is impeccable. As deeply saddened as I am about the loss of Alan, Jay Schellen adds a driving new energy to this. I'm certain that 'Mirror to the Sky' will be yet another step up from previous 'The Quest'. This sounds like YES to me ~ let's celebrate future times!

Um, wow. What did I just listen to? Jon Davison’s vocals are alluringly unpredictable. He did this a lot on the Quest, and to great effect. I find this captivating, and love that I cannot predict where his vocals are going to. That can’t be easy to do; predictable melodies are far more natural to sing/compose. And Billy’s bass is wildly expressive. I love that Steve and Geoff largely support them for much of the song, and then shine in their call and response when it is their time. This song is beautifully crafted.
