DC Power Plug Pigtails for CCTV Cameras

As I advised in my video the best solution is to use a female DC power adapter plug pigtail to create the connection you need to properly attach power to your security camera. Never cut the onboard power adapter that comes attached to your camera. Once you cut that power plug you will immediately lose the warranty on the camera. So many people make this mistake. For a small cost you can get a pigtail that will allow you to successfully attach your 2 conductor cable to the camera. There is also a male DC power adapter that can be used on the opposite side of your power cable that allows you to attach a standard 12VDC power plug-in adapter. Using a pig tail will save you time and money while allowing for a fast installation. If you are using a multi-camera power supply then there is no need for a pigtail on the power supply side. You simply use the raw cable that attaches to the terminal blocks in the power supply. I hope this video helps! How do you shorten your spool that comes in the pre made DVR kits cable length was 30m and I only needed about 10m -15m. Inside the Insulation. shielded red cable, shielded yellow cable and un-shielded cable. I made two of the eight cables work after Ive shorten them. Will adding solder increase the chance of the cable working?

If you accidentally cut the camera's power cable, how would you connect the dc pigtails to it? I did that and there weren't 2 wires? It was a flimsy braided wire. Would I just have to rerun the entire line again?

I got an old camera system on our house that uses cords like this to connect the cameras. Do you provide an adapter for the power supply to connect my wifi cameras?
