Type G is used in countries that have a higher voltage, than others, hence the unsafe other plugs. It took years to actually agree on a standard for phone chargers.

"Type N standard is more compact, robust and safe than any other plug/socket system in the world. Type N is actually based on the international standard 230 V household plug system, called IEC 60906-1. In 1986, the International Electrotechnical Commission published this standard, which was intended to become the common standard for the whole of Europe (and, by extension, all other regions with 230 V mains). Unfortunately, the effort to adopt it as a European Union standard was put on hold in the mid-1990s."

The reason why the USA and Canada have the same electrical plugs is that several items are manufactured on both sides of the border. So it’s easier to standardize the equipment.

I had curiosity about Japan type of power plug because Elekid is a type A. I wonder how they would be the regional variants of this Pokémon.

For the Italian one, the third one is just the grounding. If you remove it, it works like a common Type-C.

It's so ridiculous Denmark and Switzerland created their own types of plugs to force their people to buy overprized Danish or Swiss equipment.

Whereas all other countries on the Eurpean continent can choose from dozens of brands and fancy designs and enjoy competitive pricing.
