A user journey map and a user flow diagram are two different tools used in UX design. A user flow diagram maps out the logic of how a user moves through a platform and considers actions, conditions, and user experience. A user journey map is a narrative of the customer's experience and everything that leads up to them getting on the platform, including understanding their goals, pain points, and emotions. The user journey map has several important components, including a user persona, a scenario, different phases, and opportunities and ideas. The user journey map is a tool that helps designers understand their users better and target pain points throughout the user journey.

Amazing, thank you for making this. Like you said there are no set templates, which really makes this more madness and less method. Practice is the only way I guess. Also, a suggestion, designers are mostly stuck to their own product related work, limiting their exposure. It would be great if there are some practice templates people can use regularly to hone skills.
