After a polarizing election, right-wing economist and TV personality Javier Milei won the presidential race in Argentina after a heated runoff with economy minister Sergio Massa. The nation has been plagued by soaring inflation, an issue Milei campaigned on and promised to tackle once in office. NBC News’ Steven Romo takes a look into Milei’s plans for the country’s future.

It's really difficult for those who don't live a situation like in Argentina (or others countries whith similar conditions) to understand us:
During the 40 years of this last democracy, the same ones have governed for more than 30 years (peronism-populism). They've devastated institutions down to its foundations, they've commited terrible corruption acts, proven judicialy to the point that, the person who was twice President and today is Vice President, was tried and sentenced like others in her circle. The've degraded the economic system to the maximum, the educational system, the security system, the health system, the justice system. They've created an inmense mass of citizens without values of work, effort, dignity, living all these years only from state benefits. Crime has increased dramatically, every day someone dies just for a cell phone or anything that can be stolen from them.
So... yes, a historic majority decided that the same people who generated such a disaster in a country with so much potential should not continue in command. Not all of us who voted for Milei agree with everything he proposes, but we need changes. He will not be able to do the crazy things that many say he'll do, since he doesn't have the necessary suport in the Chambers and our National Constitution wouldn't allaw it... if it doesn't work, he'll leave within four years (as long as he's allawed finish his term).

Beautiful. We need to get way worse in USA before we finally get a libertarian in. They have been ringing the alarm since Ron Paul was running in 88. A full on inflationary collapse might wake people up to our endless debt/welfare/warfare problems.
