To be successful on your skills test you must demonstrate a set of skills, knowledge, and abilities. These 10 tips will give you that abilities, skills and knowledge that you need to know to be successful!

Become familiar with the skills:

1. Hand Hygiene (Hand Washing)
2. Applies One Knee-High Elastic Stocking
3. Assist to Ambulate Using Transfer Belth
4. Assists with Use of BedPan
5. Cleans Upper or Lower Denture
6. Count and Record Radial Pulse: 25:05
7. Counts and Record Respiration: 27:40
8. Donning and Removing PPE (Gown and Glove)
9. Dresses Client with Affected (Weak) Right Arm
10. Feed Client Who Cannot Feed Self
11. Gives Modified Bed Bath (Face, and One Arm, Hand, and Underarm)
12. Measures and Record Blood Pressure
13. Measures and Record Urine Output
14. Measure and Record Weight of Ambulatory Client
15. Performs Modified Passive Range of Motion (PROM) for One Knee and One Ankle
16. Performs Modified Passive Range of Motion (PROM) for One Shoulder

Starting my CNA class on Tuesday! I'm excited and nervous. I'm already a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, but I am looking forward to having a more well-rounded education. I have the education for them, but no experience so finding a job has been hard. That's not why I want to become a CNA though. I've always wanted to be in healthcare and I have always seen myself in the healthcare industry. I want to give others a better life with a smile on my face. I have already watched a few videos and they have definitely given me more confidence about starting class soon.
