How will UK's post-Brexit immigration plan affect economy?

The United Kingdom's government has announced a new post-Brexit immigration plan that will roll out at the start of next year.
It is expected to be the biggest change to the UK's immigration policy in 50 years.
It will be a points-based system where highly-skilled, English-speaking applicants with job offers will be favoured and is expected to negatively affect European workers employed in the UK on low wages.
Going forward, analysts say there will be labour shortages, less care for the elderly, and higher consumer prices.
Thom Brooks, a professor at Durham University, who is also an analyst on Brexit, talks to Al Jazeera.

Do what Taiwan does. Only let people that have a degree from a recognised university in to work. Even if you want to do bar work, you have to have a degree. No exceptions.

All administration must be done in English or Welsh, even Scottish Gaelic and Cornish. Only the languages that originate in these borders can qualify.
