One of the funniest movie scenes I've ever seen in my life and I have no idea why.

Jim Carrey was never more Canadian than he was in this scene

What really makes this scene for me is one of them holds his cup up as if to say, "Yeah, Big Gulp! Thanks for asking!"

This is one of the more underrated and least quoted lines in the film. And one of my favorites.

This scene has pretty much become a kind of barometer of the soul for me. If I watch this and still laugh, I know I am not completely dead inside yet.

Honestly if you use this kind of approach to everyone you meet in life you are going to have a huge funeral turn out.

One of the best lines on the history of cinema. The natural randomness.

In a Reddit AMA from 2014, the director explained how the scene — which was never in the script — just happened to come together.

“One line that was definitely ad libbed is the Big Gulp line, ” wrote Farrelly. “In fact, the two guys he was talking to weren’t even extras, they were just hanging out, watching us shoot and I decided to pull them in. They happened to have Big Gulps and Jim just ran with it. True story.”

I like how he's not phased by their non response, just keeps on going about his day.

What makes it so funny is that he felt the need to acknowledge something so insignificant as two people drinking big gulps. It's a pointless conversation starter. LOL

There's something so beautiful about Lloyd's unbridled curiosity here. We could all be more like him.

Literally the most accurate depiction of me attempting small talk that I've ever seen in film.

I gave a couple guys a beer recommendation as they were browsing the beer isle as I grabbed my 6 pack. They looked at me exactly like how these guys looked at Jim. I instantly thought of this scene as I got to my car.

Best scene in Cinema history. I dare you to name me a better cinematic moment than this one.

The best part of this to me is the "welp, see ya later" - Lloyd will never run into these two men again. The social contrast, the racial contrast, everything about this scene is just subtly perfect.

Okay, I just learned that those two guys were actually just patrons of the store, and him talking to them was off script, lol.

I just pulled this one when meeting my neighbors for the first time...

Best part: those were actually 2 random people who happened to be standing on the side drinking big gulps, not even extras
