I expose this scammer in the Plaza Mayor who plays nice and offers tourists a free bracelet out of love. The only problem is that these people are scammers and once you take the free bracelet he wants a donation. If you don't give the donation he starts to get angry and demands the money. It's a scam and I expose how it works in this video! #scammer #scam

A scammer for sure. It’s funny how fast he changed when you said you had no money on you. Thanks for the thumbs up on this scammer in Madrid.

I was approached by a guy doing the same thing. When he asked for money, I told him "I don't have any. I got pick pocketed"

Once a clown walked up to my *6 year old brother* and just shoved a balloon animal in his hand—saying nothing. I assumed it was free and took one too. But then the clown stuck around and approached our parents, pointed at our balloons and held out his hand for money 😤 we ended up just giving the balloons back. Approaching little kids and *giving them toys when the parents backs are turned* & then demanding payment honestly makes this bracelet guy look like a saint

the sad thing is, if they put that amount of effort into running a legit bussiness they'd likely be very successful

I just ignore them and walk away. Unfortunately, every major city center in Europe has those charcoal smokies pushing their worthless bracelet, or some other BS.

When I was there and in other parts of Spain I took a simple approach, when you spot a block away these residents with a supply of beads and bracelets dangling from their hands, standing in one spot or pacing back and forth towards tourists, walk the other way to begin with.

This happened to me in Rome, Italy. Some guy gave the exact same bracelet to my family saying it is free because his kid was born. And said we're racist if we don't give him money. My mom, being gullible and all c❤called my dad over. My dad said gave him 10 and scammer said no give me 20.

And that is how I got scammed today.

It's funny how just because someone is from Africa he expects the others to give things to him for free.

Don't "stop" to talk to them at all. Traveling alone I have nothing in my pockets & everything is under my clothes cuz I don't carry much & don't look like a tourist.

Those scammers annoy me so bad!! I almost fell victim to that bracelet scam while in Rome earlier this year. While I was getting out of the Roman Forum, a man came up and randomly put that bracelet on my wrist. Then he tried demanding $. I was having none of it and I got aggressive with him verbally cause I was also short on time as I had to get to my next tourist attraction I wanted to see. So I thankfully took it off, though two or three followed me and I turned around pointing and yelling “NO!!!”, and I trashed it.

Another sign scammers want your attention: while I visited Venice, a random guy came up to me asking “what time it was” so I looked at my phone and told him. Then he was friendly and threw a bracelet at me and I said “NO!” and walked away. Then I realized “of all people around, why did you have to ask me? And also there’s a clock right in front of you!!” Now I know what to expect the next time I see them within a distance

When he said he needs money I would've said, "no, you've clearly got money with that gucci fanny pack 😉"

Oh my! Watching this is like a flashback to just now when this exact same thing happened to me at the plaza mayor. I was just chilling with my drink and calamari sandwich and then he forced upon the bracelet on me and even got angry when I wanted to walk away. He also said the same words of 'Do you want a problem?'. Man I was really nervous too. Especially with this being my first time as a solo traveller here in spain 😥Thankfully I didn't pay a single cent and threw his bracelet away. These scammers really are a downer on the whole travelling experience.

Anyways, really happy that you are putting this information out there so that people can beware of these scams. Cheers!

Today in Barcelona the same thing happened to me and my partner. Oddly enough, the man was also from Senegal with the EXACT same bracelets. Said we were a nice couple then offered us a bracelet each. Proceeded to apply the bracelet, then asked for 3 or 4 euros. Told him we had no money left as we’d spent the last on our drinks (we were sat outside a bar), wouldn’t leave us alone until I said he could take them back. Took mine but said my partner could keep hers. I was suspicious of him to begin with but couldn’t see past the charm. Stay frosty folks

¡Saludos Kerry!
