How can the gov't buy back what they didn't sell in the first place? They don't issue guns to the people, and they are restrained by the 2nd Amendment from "buying them back" as a means of infringement.

She supported many gun laws as AG for California _and_ she openly stated she believes the government should be going into people’s homes to “make sure they’re being responsible.” She’s been calling for “assault weapons” bans throughout her time campaigning as well as gun buybacks. How can she even be allowed to go on stage and say “we’re not taking anyone’s guns away”??

Trump may not be the best 2A candidate, but Vance is pretty good. He wants to disband the ATF. I think that Vance could help keep Trump in line with 2A. Trump has indicated that he respects Vance's opinion on many subjects, so I don't expect any new 2A infringements from a Trump presidency.
