These types of tutorials are officially, to me, the gold standard of computer science teaching, its just so clean and interesting.

"If your function does not require an input you will not get an argument from me." I LOVE IT!!! Such good humor.

It's official! The Socratica Python Kickstarter was a success! Thank you to all of our supporters. Because of you, many more Python videos coming soon!! 💜🦉

The humor is at a perfect level for a semi-nerdly topic like learning python. Keeps the subject interesting while covering simple but essential details of the language. Well done!

"We will now throw caution into the vacuum of space, and write a function with TWO arguments." Awesome.

"To show our enthusiasm we will type an exclamation point!"   *said in the most robotic voice ever*   hahaha

"it is better to right clean code than compact code, which impresses NO ONE" couldn't agree more! It really sucks how some coding tutorial forum users show really compact codes to beginners like they're suppose to understand that crap.

*The perfect cure for deja vu.*
*Our latest Python video is about functions*.
_Up next: collections! Sets, lists, tuples and dictionaries..._

Mannnn!!! I wish I found this channel earlier. No Udemy, no bundles to be required for purchasing early, all seem to be free! Awesome!

Love, love and love this instructor's style and theatrics. Her voice is perfectly tuned with her presentation, these things together makes the tutorials memorable and you'll find yourself learning as you enjoy the innuendos and double entendre. "Deja vu"!

@Socratica - I have been teaching intro. programming for 20 years, and using your videos in class since you started. I often re-watch them to be sure they still reflect my own teaching practices and conventions. Every time I laugh out loud and am astounded at how much practical detail you pack into each short segment. Well done - I'm sure you have inspired and helped hundreds of my students over the years. thank you so much - you are a gem.

This stuff is amazing! Spent two hours of frustration in a text-book on a chapter, trying to understand this. Watched 9 mins video...Got it all and then some!

Super glad to see this!

Looking forward to more videos from Socratica! I really enjoy watching these ones on Python. I like the clarity and humor a lot. Sometimes when I don’t feel like studying, I still would like to watch these Python videos, because they are made and demonstrated in such a fun way! I love it!

I wish I discovered these videos when I started my PhD! Luckily they're well-done enough I might watch them to understand Python better generally and to not forget what I've learnt.
