I was a bit confused when I got my Cityrun bike and was assembling it. I did not get a quick-release forward axle as described in this video. It was a regular axle that was bolted on both sides. It was easy to figure out since there basically was no other way to attach the front tire. So much for quick-releasing the front tire when I need to get it in my car - not a deal breaker, though.

This video and the instructions provided in the box are different right from step one. Just like @DavidEmerling79, my bike did not come with a quick-release skewer, which is an important part according to this tutorial. There is no mention of this part in the manual. I'm going to guess at this point that you've changed things, and now this video is useless and out of date. On top of that, you have your actor easily and casually removing the plastic guard on the front wheel. The plastic piece on my wheel is frozen in place, and it seems the only way to remove it by sheer brute force, something I'm loathe to do lest I break something. Not off to a good start here.

I'm having issues with the stem of the front fork sliding in and out of place on the frame of the bike. Is there any way I can tighten it to keep the front fork and subsequently the handlebars in place?

You should always apply a light coat of grease to the threads of the pedals, the seat post and quick release skewer during installation. The bolt in the top of the stem is for adjustment only. After adjusting the slack out out of the steering, the stem is then clamped tightly to the fork tube ( Google Threadless headset adjustment). I recently assembled one of these bikes, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bike.

What if your bike does not have a quick release? Is it missing?

I'm pulling my hair out. I have never assembled a bike and I am stuck on the handle bar part. There is a space at the bottom and when I lift the bike the tire part wiggles. I also didn't get a quick release. And also the instructions suck!

Front brake is hitting spokes but I can't figure out how to adjust it as there is no room to change it around. Anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone know what the button under the throttle that says AUTO is? It doesn't show in the book or this video.

It appears that the bottle holder inhibits the benefit of the low step through height. How easily can it be removed?
