Review: Was Pre-season Successful for Leeds United.

The season is finished. in this video, I'll discuss the playing style, individual players, and the overall look of the squads as well as aspects of pre-season that I view are very good and aspects I believe could still be improved going into the new season.

With Rutter and Joseph, both 50 million plus players in my view, we have a team to romp the championship. And the rest of the players are good quality to back them up, this current team is easily mid prem table.

Thanks Locky, I hope we can see this transfer close without losing any more quality players because they are hard to replace. I would like to see at least 3 or 4 new incoming players because we need more depth. This is a brutally long season, and we can't afford to repeat last seasons final quarter. MOT

Happy with pre-season: particularly yesterday’s performance. Good to see Georgi playing wider and scoring. He and MJ will be the difference for us this season and the pair of them will get us back up, I believe in them. Like you, I’m a huge Georgi fan, so I really hope he stays and continues with ‘Project Unfinished Business’.
I know Joe W was talking about rumours of another key player outgoing yesterday. Please, please don’t let it be GR.

I hope that we end up using rothwell more against low blocks as he can open up defences more and use gruev in tougher games

Piroe's style of play is dramatically different from early last season when you'd see him screaming at his teammates to go 1-2 with him. He is now much more involved in build up play (to good effect) and it'll get him the chances he likes to take, arriving a little late in and around the box to shoot. With Joseph and Georginio, there will be plenty of knock backs and loose balls to clean up into the net so I think he'll do fine.

I was hoping we'd play 3-5-2, so Matteo and Piroe could use their movement to get the centre-backs 1-1, instead of Matteo having to be outnumbered 2-1.
A couple of bonus's of that, would be Wober and Rothwell starting too. Would help keep Wober, and provide Rothwell's forward movement of the ball, and delivery from free-kicks.
It would give Farke plenty of options on either side.

Not perfect, but many reasons to be excited for the coming seasons. All I expect from preseason is that we are competitive, which we were. Valencia was the real test and we say that was a good pass. Tighten up a few of the stray passes and we should have few problems in the Championship. We are the big guns in this league. We have to go out every game and prove it.

Finishing has always been a weak point for Leeds unless Pat was on form, Mateo, solves that.
