Warren Haynes Talks Allman Brothers

We were lucky enough to have Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule and solo star Warren Haynes visit our new studios recently. In this exclusive interview, the guitarist talks about Gov't Mule's new star-studded album 'Shout!' and explains why we might finally be closer to getting the first new Allman Brothers record in more than 10 years.

I was lucky enough to see the Mule do a show about six years ago and have watched a good many of their live videos since then and it occurs to me that they give 100% to every song at every show; I would guess it takes a unusual passion for music to maintain that kind of professionalism. I played in a band in North Carolina where our bandleader, a serious Warren Haynes fan, got the idea of holding an annual festival benefitting a local food bank from a festival Warren founded in Asheville. This will be the first year since it started in 2012 that it won’t happen. I now drive 600 miles each way every year to play in it.
