I once had an 00-18 but sold it during my college years, 60 years ago. I now again have a 1965 Martin 00-18 and thoroughly enjoy playing it. At that time you had to wait many months for this guitar and it had a rosewood fret board, I purchased mine off Reverb. I love the tone and it is one of my favorite guitars. I especially enjoy mahogany guitars as I was brought up listening my father play his 1945 Martin D-18. These guitars do improve with age and are one of the best guitars to purchase and enjoy for the rest of your lifetime. Now at 82, I play mine every day!

My friend Alec has a 00-18 that I was fortunate enough to borrow for some time in the early 2000s. That's unquestionably the greatest acoustic guitar I ever got to play.

Beautiful song and playing. I play 00-18 and 00-28. Truly best guitar for any situation.. especially finger picking ❤ only change I would like would be VTS torified top standard on all standard series.

Though an excellent guitar it is not the same quality or character of the 00-18 V
One advantage though, by this time Martin may have corrected the universal
experience of the "tortoise" binding coming off the earlier 00-18v models.
My first Martin 00 was a 1939 00-17. A magical guitar. Last of the 1 3/4 nut
widths until recent times. Material quality and workmanship far superior.

nice demo, i have a D-18 and a 000-15m i love them, but i’m obsessive with guitar and i want to buy another one soon .. i’m so confused to choose between the 00-18 or 000-18, i really like the 00-18 , it seems very good to play old country songs, i think bob Dylan used one in his nashville skyline era, i like to play in the summer on my porch outside i just worry if it’s too quiet to play outside or the dynamics and frequencies projecting are good outside

Are you sure the guitar being played isn't a triple 0?

Prefer the 000-18. It’s warmer and less ‘twangy.’ That’s the ‘size’ you’re hearing. Smaller guitars are more projecting but can be ‘harsher sounding, Try a 000. Not much bigger than this 00. Tried them both. I prefer the 000.
