Why being bald is an advantage

Kurt Stenn has studied hair for 30 years and lectured extensively on the biology of the hair follicle. In his recent book "Hair: A Human History," he dives into the biology, evolution, and cultural history of the subject.

We asked him what being bald means in the modern society.

I shaved my head bald for the first time, ive always went with short but not bald. I thought id look weird or goofy but in fact its the opposite. I got a huge confidence boost.

Researchers found a Tinder profile of a 29 year old man with a full head of hair got 8.5 times more right swipes from women than the same guy without hair, but the bald profile got slightly more right swipes from gay men - so if you are a bald gay man, stay bald.

I think a lot of this phenomenon might be attributed to having numerous examples as of late of powerful, successful, bald athletes, celebrities, and business leaders, like Michael Jordan, Vin Diesel, Seth Godin, Stephen Covey, Samuel Jackson, etc. I think seeing bald people reminds us of them, subconsciously.
Certainly there is more to it, but I'm sure this is an appreciable aspect of the effect.

I’m not experiencing any hair loss at all. I just want to try out the bald look and see how I’ll look like that’s all but idk I’m scared though to try it.

According to a study carried out on only tall male models - being bald makes you more attractive, confident, dominant and alpha. Don't forget also the ladies love it and somehow prefer it over a man with hair.
