I love how they have boq say "What? No no I don't feel sorry for you, your great" because i think part of the reason nessarose likes him so much is that he is the first person to not Infantalize her or other her in any way he treats her like shes normal and not some fragile thing that will break at any moment because of her disability

When Elphaba later tells Fiyero that he wouldn’t be so unhappy if he really didn’t care, and he looks at her like this is the first time he’s ever truly been seen.

And his hidden deep thinking as he says “dust is what we come to, nothing matters but knowing nothing matters is just life” and him just trying to dance off those more existential thoughts… ugh it’s just so well written, and so well performed.

I absolutely _love_ that they didn’t change a single lyric in any of these songs. If anything, they only added onto them! They’re all preserved from the Broadway show and it’s _perfect_ so they’re _perfect together_

Ariana and Jonathan’s “dancing through life” together was MAJESTIC. They sound beautiful together and I wish they could have a duet of some kind

I LOVE how this line at first glance comes as Fiyero being a brainless hedonist, but it reveals his Hidden Intelligence and Hidden Depths as this mentality is literally existentialism philosophy, Jean-Paul Sartre's (One of the most respected philosophers in modern time) main philosophical viewpoint. Existentialism, in short words, talked about the fact how life was without inherent or destined meaning, so the meaning we gave it was all up to us and the most important thing. AKA, Nothing matters, but knowing nothing matters, It's just Life, So keep dancing through”

I’m almost glad that the trailer played down the song in the trailer so we got to experience its full glory in the theater. He sings this song so naturally, it was such a treat.
