Hare Krishna prabhuji,
In transcendental sense happiness, the senses are engaged in the service of Hṛṣīkeśa.
Serving Kṛṣṇa with purified senses is called Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

Here Krishna explains us that senses are controlled by mind. So if we utilize our senses for the service of Krishna then Krishna will control our senses and once senses are controlled our flickering and unstable mind will become peaceful and we will be able to do Bhakti properly

Hare Krishna. Dandavat Pranam 🙏only way of controlling the senses and keeping mind steady and stop it from flickering is possible by krishna consciousness. Soul should control the mind and not vice versa.
