Studio version of this song out now on my "Synthesizer Legends - Volume 1" album!

The album is still available for a limited time on vinyl!

Ten years ago on this day I uploaded my live cover of Jan Hammer’s “Crockett’s Theme” from the soundtrack for the famous 80’s TV series Miami Vice. It quickly became my most popular video on my channel and the most requested tune on my live concerts. I am so glad that I was around to enjoy the 80's. I loved Miami Vice too. It was ahead of it's time for sure. Now 75 years old and still enjoying the music. This guy is a genius.

Finally, someone who collects the gear who can actually play them also. Such full warm rich vibrant crunchy deep sounds from these classic synths. Fantastic. Alive.

This was the first song I ever downloaded. On a 1.2K modem. Kept our phone line busy for a whole day. :) About 35 years ago. It still sounds as good now as it did back then.

This is what makes a classic timeless: its ability to attract incredibly talented artists like Kebu who breathe new life into it and give it a new meaning, a new aesthetic. Congratulations Kebu, you did it again!

I have never heard a better Synthwave than Crockett's Theme. This live performance really nails it that it's an impeccable masterpiece of a song.

This theme brings so much memories from 1987. I lived in Tallinn, Estonia 11 years old kid, parents decided to leave to country. I had this cassette with lots of pop music, and this theme was my favorite. I listened to it non stop. It’s a dream of an ocean breeze, fast driving car, dreams which we are living by.. Thank you 🙏 Kebu, you are an amazing artist! Next time I’m in Finland I’ll try and schedule to come over and be on your concert!
