I highly recommend trying out Japanese tanks seriously. The topics discussed in this video confirms everything I have learned firsthand. There are a lot quirks, as you can never even pretend to have armour of any sort and you have to skid the tank a lot due to the 7°/sec turret rotation. But if you learn how to play the Japanese tanks well they become really advantageous, and you can capture any of the points and rack up many kills.

Chi-Nu II, Chi-to and Chi-To/Late have literally the best guns until 5.0
I have a feeling that this, while its a good guide for Tier I, doesn't really fit for 3.3 onwards.
Also, the majority of people in the comments have apperently never used them.

1) Not Frontline units? - Ho-Ri (Proto or Prod) TD anyone?

2) you are getting too active in urban environments? Considering Gaijin manage to put in urban shitfests on almost every map and then put cap points in them - gg Gaibewb basically.

3) you ignore the landscape? Again thanks to Gaijin and their universal Arcade™ maps in RB and SB, you'll be hard pushed to flank or get into a flanking position - again gg Gaibewb.

4) You didn't buy the Ho-Ri Prototype when it was on sale? )))) xaxaxa

Oh we actually do pretty darn good now in the samurai machines. the problem is not on the IJA tanks (the type 1 47's and type 5 75's guns are a divine wind)... the probems radicates in rank 4 where aparently there is a insistence in trow up the JDFS prototyes tanks whith utterly cripling incorrect stats and models :)

Gaijin you could've been a tiny bit faster making this video since i've already grinded and spaded the whole Japanese tree and spent over 10000 games with them and you can't imagine what the pain has been like.

Gaijin, will you change chi-ri's autoloader from 2 back to 3 rounds?
Becouse now franch is too overpowered with their 7 or 9 rounds autoloader
