This is the most helpful video ever. I just moved into my new apartment and they gave me one key but the top and bottom locks were different and I only had a key to the top one. To state the obvious your repair is stronger than the glass next to it. The only possible problem might be cracking due to slamming the door. But as you stated it was a cheap fix. Nice finish. Great job.
