A good portion of the sandstone, clay stone and coal were laid down 50 million years ago due to the Challis Magma causing volcanic eruptions making eastern wa look like a shot gun blast. Erosion from those mountains and rivers dumped all that sediment in whats now Western Washington(Cascades didn't exist at that point). There are spots thought to be 3 miles thick with this sediment. The most impressive in my opinion is the Green River Gorge where in some spots, you have up to 700 feet of exposure with another 1300-2300 feet below that.

I was watching a video by Nick Zentner from 2016 I hadn't seen before. Before looking at Nick's video I watched Cindy's video of the slow slide (so far) of the Rattlesnake Ridge. And now I've watched your video and hoping a little bit stuck in my brain.
So I guess you could say I've spent my evening in Washington state. I've enjoyed every minute too!
