JD Beck inspired me to stop learning drums

You know you're doing it right when everyone in the crowd looks absolutely disgusted by what you're playing

This is easily going to be the best shampoo ad

imagine playing in front of an audience that gets 100% of what you're doing technically and, consequently, how you're feeling

DOMi always has that airhorn sound on hand 24/7, just waiting for the right moment

Man watch out for that kid in the audience that knows exactly what he’s hearing, he’s gonna be a beast one day

JD and DOMi are always on point, but can we take a minute to appreciate how much talent is in that room? Mononeon's name isn't even mentioned in the video title like he's some random gig musician. The camera was cutting to people in the crowd that could embarrass most vets!

It's both comforting and depressing to see someone as undeniably talented as JD struggle with self-doubt.

The stank faces in the crowd are killing me

This is the reason why your drum teacher constantly tells you to practice rudiments.

Everyone in the crowd simultaneously having the “nasty face” while listening is the best.

It's amazing that this younger generation has an appreciation for jazz fusion. They think it's cool and I dig it! Back in the day, fusion artists were shit on by the fucking jazz Nazis and musicians would be reticent to explore new sounds with electronics and non-swing beats. It sure fucking helps that the Internet is around for this type of music to exist. Props to all this guys. May jazz fusion continue to live on.

Ghost-Note and Mononeon should be featured in the title here next to DOMI. All world class amazing musicians

about the part that starts around 4:30 : as talented as JD is, the thing I'm most jealous of the most is that he could find a musical partner that gets him on that level as DOMi. Musically they were made for each other, and you can hear they inspire each other: when he gets in the zone, she starts her wild solo. And you can see that in other videos of them too: when one of them gets off, the other soon follows.
Musicianship at its highest level.
