They charge the passenger surge pricing when its not even busy and give none of it to the driver sometimes taking up to 80%. They also charge you way more if you live in a nice neighborhood or are from out of town.

I live 3 miles away and Uber is charging me $17 while the driver is getting $4. Nothing can justify such a markup!!!

This isn’t always fair though. If a driver gets 2 pool riders, & the total for both rides is $14, the driver gets paid $6.61. How is more than 50% being deducted for fees? The more riders a driver gets on pool, the less that driver is paid.
What is the ratio for payment? Isn’t it supposed to be 25% of each ride goes to Uber for fees?

Basically upfront differs from time to time based of time, distance, supply and demand etc.. thanks for your explanation .

Upfront prices are the key to decide if it’s worth taking that ride. However, the app has charged a much higher price at the end without any explanations and trying to talk to Uber is very difficult, they have no phone number for us to call them snd that it’s frustrating.

Upfront leads to many requests to drive further or make out of the way stops without them changing their trip in the app, threatening poor star rating for refusing

Picked 3 passengers in jfk, dropped them off in manhattan .uber made 80$, I made 40$ including tolls, gas and depreciation.not too mention longer pick up and dropp off time and a car fully loser with laggeg!(dive pool= get screwed!)

How the ride pay 55 dollar and the driver you pay 15 or the ride pay 48 dollar and you pay 12 dollar are you sure something its wrong the driver receives 25 or 30 % of the money uber need to check that all the driver going too protest all over the contry that is not fair
