INCREASED ACCURACY ON DROPS TIP. Guys, if you want to increase the accuracy of the drops then you should change the release mechanism on your lifter. At the moment it's purely mechanical and you have to give it a tug, which of course, causes the falling object to sway. It would be much better to have a small electromagnetic lock. Just press the button, the current stops, the magnetic force disappears and each object falls. The only factor left then is the wind. Please like this comment so that the guys can see it.

TIP ON THE PAPER SEGMENT. I know I'm late to the party on this one. I don't know how I missed it.

Anywho, Don't use spacers if your intention is to pierce multiple reams of paper stock. When you use spacers like you did, it allows every other ream to bow, which significantly reduces momentum and absorbs the impact. If you didn't have spacers, I think you would have gotten through around 8 to 10 reams for sure. Also, the farther up the blade, the point of balance is the straighter it will fall. Imagine a ribbon attached to a baseball. When you drop it, the ribbon will always travel behind the ball. A vortex football will land nose first if dropped. That's why the blade is so thin at the base. The cross guard is designed for stability. As the blade drops downward, upward force is applied to the hilt, the downward motion will force air (energy) into the cross guard so the blade will be gently pushed in the opposite direction it was falling. But the curves help it do this without causing excess drag (which would slow the blade down). If too much force is applied, the balance point will shift, and the blade would not fall straight. If there are any physicists poking around the comments, feel free to elaborate and/or correct me.
