I grew up being called "Steve McUrkel" as a kid (for obvious reasons, being a nerd and such), so by extension, Dr. Shaq's work has always had a close connection with my life. When I heard he is also a real-life Deputy Sheriff, my first thought was basically "Goodbye dirtbags, Lt. Winslow is out to get you..."

Also, mad props on him getting a PhD. It ain't easy, believe me. You gotta put the hours in and deal with an incredible amount of adminstrative nonsense; a lot of it is simply the waiting game.

Shaq is peak human. No performance, pure love. Humble, loving. He has the same energy as a Tony Hawk, or a David Bowie. So much proof that the rat race is overrated. Yeah, he's rich and famous, and literally balled out to get there, but now that he's at a place of pure, unfiltered comfort, he emits a warm, inviting energy free of the game-playing us Americans are expected to participate in. I know so many people who would fill Shaq's shoes (figuratively, of course) comfortably if they weren't such wage slaves.
