When Aemond told Vhagar to turn around, she was like: why couldn't we have fun with these rookies?

Why flee? Wtf? Are you serious?? Hes outmatched and out of territory. It would've been suicide to keep going. Thats a common sense no-brainer.

its not giving the cards away its doing the most sensible thing cuz Rhaenyra wanted to end this war by showing she got 3 more dragons now, as she said earlier in that episode

“Surprising?” Its not very surprising. You see three dragons, two of which are big enough to challenge vhagar.

I disagree The ending did not look like a planned attempt to lure out Vhagar and Aemond, as has been claimed re
If it was then it was Incredibly risky and awfully planned Maybe the books clarify this but from the scene i watched it didn;t make sense as this scenario

First do you really think Rahenyra woud send 3 complete novice riders into AIRBORNE battle against Aemond and Vhagar straight away, numerical advantage or not ? And in doing so also show her hand so quickly?
Sure they could fly around burning up static targets on the ground, somehing that requires only basic skills and a quick "drakarys" as the dragons dig doing this kind of thing instinstively but CO-ORDINATED AIRBORNE COMBAT against the most powerful eperienced dragin in Wetseros and his eperineced rider ?
They'd probably end up burning each other as much as Vhagar !

I mean look at this Ulf guy riding Silverwing, he looked like hed had no control heover r at all, as you'd expect in the circumstances it was definetely Silverwing taking HIM for a ride not the other way round !
So I find it hard to believe that Rhaenyra would take such a HUGE high stake gamble showing her hand so soon and of all people send him with zero experience and control over his dragon Silverwing flyng over Kings Landing, the most dangerous place he could knowing this would lead to Vhagar and Aemond taking chase
With the lack of control he had I find it impossibe to believe anyway he could have directed her so specifically to Kings Landing and THEN be confident he would have been able mange to turn her and return to Dragonstone as bait whilst being pursued by the bgeest most experienced dragon in DOD with a skilled rider like Aemond all as part of a cordinated plan! !
And Rhaenyra woud think was a good idea!?
If this was actually PLANNED it was madness

But Ok lets put aside the ludicrous Idea of sending 3 totally inexperienced riders, who can hardly RIDE their dragons yet, into full airborne combat against the biggest baddest most experienced Dragon in Weteros and their rider where they have to co-ordinate with each other as well as exert command and control over their dragon and pretend they COULD do this , even then the scene made no sense as to how you woud plan such an ambush

So apart from the ludicrous idea of having Ulf fly a Dragon he as yet has no cntrol over as the "bait" If you really DID want to ambush Vhagar you wouldn't have your other dragons sitting on the beach watching, youd have wanted to get them OUT OF SIGHT and Aemond as close as possible to Dragonstone so you could use the Island to conceal the other Dragons, fron him untill it was too late and then suprise him, NOT have them sitting in full view doing nothing where he can see them from far enough away to have time to turn tail and run !
I would guess for example you'd had have Vermithor and the other Dragons ALREADY airborne and out of plain sight for Aemond and keep his attention fully focused on chasing the bait in front of him
Then Vermithor woud maybe be coming straight down out of the sun and then the others coming from the sides after being hidden behind Dragonstone where they were waiting in a pincer movement taking him completely by suprise ?
It would also if it WAS really a planned trap make more sense to send a skilled rider on you most fast agile dragon to draw Vhagar out who would have no chance of catching them before he was already in the snare of the trap so Moondancer wiith Baela Is the obvious answer

All this assuming of course to implement this plan you have to have riders on the dragons capable of actualy controlling them in a battle, which at this point they obviously certainly could not !

So he whole scene just makes no sense as a "planned " trap, for Vhagar and Aemond as claimed, literally hours or a few days at the most after the Dragon seeds rode them for the first time!

It simply looks far more like a scene to demonstrate the new balance of power, an accidental random one as you get the Impression Silverwing was doing her own thing and took Ulf for a spin over Kings Landing then flew back to Dragonstone with Ulf hanging on for dear life where Aemond in pursuit where he unexpectedly saw the other dragons and they unexpectedly saw him then he wisely turned tail and ran
