oh my goodness! this is absolutely amazing. I have been looking for a video like this forever. finally somebody that actually explains what the hell is going on and tells me what I can and cannot do and most importantly WHY I can't do it! it's amazing! everyone should be watching this, it's so easy to understand. please never stop making videos. you are literally the only person that actually thinks about the mistakes people could be making (like just randomly crossing out x - which I always do) but now I know why I can't just going around crossing things out. we need more youtubers like you.

Hi I'm struggling with a couple of concepts. Firstly in the first example where the answer is 4 over 9(4/9) where does the X go? I don't understand why the X has disapeared when usually you need to keep the letters in algabra like the second example.

Also I fail to understand what you are doing in the second example to get them numbers, either its not explained properly or you are assuming we should already know. Thanks for the video though you helped me regardless :)
