Its actually Yakuza meets dragon quest since the creator is huge fan of it and of Yoji Hori "dragon quest creator" so its combat is based on that.

So I have this pre ordered and am playing this day one on the Series X. Imran, I really related Like a Dragon to Kiryu as in Dragon of Dojima, but Dragon Quest works just as well. Ive been on total blackout so I didn't realize the background of Ichi. I am actually hyped more after watching this video, thanks guys and happy next gen eve. I do love a good JRPG and a good Yakuza game so this is a must for me.

The letters in the selectable options in the hud spell S.E.G.A too. At the beginning the Etc.. option was Item, but after feedback they changed it. That's neat. This looks like a fun time. Classic-dreamcast-sega kind of fun.

This game looks great, currently diving into my backlog and am wrapping up kiwami. I love the game so far and have to say that this yakuza at least graphically, looks like a massive improvement.

So glad to see this preview! I am currently deliberating on whether to wait for the PS5 version in the spring, this has pushed me toward wanting to just play the ps4 backwards compatible version. We'll see

I remember petitioning for yakuza 3, 4 & 5 to come over to the states. Buying yakuza 3 and ff13 on the same day a playing yakuza 3 over ff13 to the end. Unsure if I will get this on xbox series or wait for the ps5 version though. Maybe both...

I'm excited for this. I know this is a jumping on point for the series, but I wouldn't feel right going into this without having yet played 3-6. The npc dialog being voiced is freaking great though. That just means Yakuza has gotten a budget increase, which is great. This series is dope.
