I found that the GeForce driver version 344.75 from November last year, worked well for me.
I had a lot of dxgi error device hung issues around April this year with my MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card and blamed the stock overclocking not working well with SC.
Then someone suggested an older driver version that was working for him, so I tried and the DXGI errors stopped.
I also disabled the NVIDIA streaming service and used some tweaking on the user.cfg file. Closing Chrome browser also helps a lot to free up RAM.

Well I used driver booster and Jesus Christ! What a shit storm that unleashed. Everything broke, from network adapters to the chipset and display. I've never seen such a catastrophic failure on my PC before. It's like someone just picked it up and threw it off a cliff. Thank god for system restore points.

i used window 7 Star Citizen hasn't any problem and i changed window 10 after i can't Start star citizen launcher...

i bought a gaming computer yesterday, its brand new and has all drivers updated. i downloaded the game and updated it but i only get to play about a minute before it crashes :(

I have tried just about everything I know and after 6 weeks of playing SC I can't stop the ingame freezes. I have a high end system with 32 G ram, GTX- 1080, 1T SSD. All the drivers have been updated, RAM cleaned before loading SC, and still I get constant freeze ups. I did noticed the save file had a reference error message I can post if if you want.
The FPS seems good, and when the game does work it runs well. I usually get about 15-25 minutes into the the scenario and it jams up tight. Usually req a full reboot. The file areas have been listed as exceptions too. So it is isn't a internet block.

I have the hanging on the CryEngine splash screen issue. Annoyingly I had it after a previous update and someone on RSI Chat told me how to sort it - removing or fixing some files but my memory fails me.

I've got the up-to-date Geforce driver, verified the files, deleted the USER folder and uninstalled/reinstalled VC++ 2015.

No luck, I am at a loss. Annoying as I just upgraded to a GTX 970 and wanted to see if that was good enough to start playing the game (frame rate on the aging 560 was terrible as you might expect). Not sure what else to try.

I downloaded driver booster and installed it. I also installed latest LAN drivers but still I'm gettin erros message when loggin in... "ERROR - CIG services (code 10002) CIG services connection failed. unable to connect game network..." there's nothing wrong in my internet connection... but still this error appears over and over again :/ even the Star Citizen Alpha 2.6.3 doesn't work anymore... same error appears. :(

Black screen entering crusader then it crashes to desktop after a while. 3.0. The old star citizan used to work I don’t understand? Can you hel please.

my game crashes right when I launch it, I meet all system requirements and I can’t seem to see why it won’t work, I’m tuning version 3.1 and I bought the game a couple days ago and have yet to successfully launch it
