I would add a wheel to the bottom of the gate.

Your hinge orientation most importantly keeps someone from picking it up and hauling it away.

Did she say the post were 6 x 6? Then she said they dug a 3’ hole. Doesn’t this pole looks at least 4’ tall or is it an illusion? Seriously asking because my husband wants to build one

Nice. You didn't use an earth auger because you wanted the exercise?

I just did this in Florida. I went deep on the main hinge post with an auger and it literally took about 60 seconds since we have pure sand with no rocks. When I lived in NY it would take me hours.

Great presentation, more showing and less telling. So many other videos yack too much and don't show. Your text is just enough.

Nice job, but you should have put the top peg under the top brace.

So I put up an 8-foot fence to keep my neighbor's dogs out of my yard and eating my chickens now they just squeezed under the gate or jump over the gate

You never spread your concrete at the top like you did there. You have now created a cone in the wrong direction. You have given frost a place to grab and heave up. You always stop your concrete while still inside the hole thus not creating the frost heave ledge.

Bottom hinge Always to face down. No deciding necessary
