Getting a setup is a real big deal. On last years games after I got an setup from your channel I went a hole second faster on a lap. So an setup really helps you out

I'm gonna give the same advice I did last year.

Go straight to qualifying, choose the worst car, if you manage to get pole or TOP 5 that means that the difficulty is bad because you shouldn't be there. Increase AI until you are in a more realistic position.

This years game has the best ai ive ever raced against hands down. I do full length races and theyre aware of the changing race dynamics. They help their teammates out and will defend you and give their teammate a line. And max is unbeatable. And with the data based on the beginnin of the season that makes sense

Some additional advice, do like -20 on your normal difficulty for Miami

This really helped I was able to find out that 90 difficulty isn’t to hard but not to easy for me it was just right

I started with 45 and (traction control assist) and now I’m doing 90 on Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Team Williams. I think I should be 5-10th as Williams driver. So far I’m always in top 3, so hopefully playing with 90 AI will work

Thanks so much, the AI is so inconsistent this year

I really hope they sort out the Ai in career mode I’m 22 races in and not one yellow flag unless caused by me no lock ups on Ai and the Drs and Ers are ridiculous. Then put Grand Prix on totally different again yellow flags Gasly got DSQ and Ai lock up into corners and Drs isn’t stupid OP.
Great content matey love the car setups can’t wait for all of them 😊

My problem was s that I have shocking race pace. On 98 difficulty in a McLaren I can fight for pole but in the race I struggle to keep up and end up defending the whole race.

I'm really digging your camera view. Awesome content!🤙🏁

It depends on track. I had problems to keep up with my teammate in Japan, China and Miami, but in Imola I've won by 40 seconds without changing difficulty

Right now playing at 92% but I only got my first wheel around April, and F1 24 on August 11th. It is my first F1 game, and for the time being I am using anti-lock brakes and corner racing lines with 100% practice, Sprint Qualifying, Spring Race, Qualifying and Race distances. I think I need to up the difficulty a bit further though thanks to the online car setups I've found and have been using. With the exception of Hungary and another course I can't remember off top of my head I've finished top 5 with a created driver with the Williams team in my first Driver Career mode season. Hungary and another course I was 9th and 10th. Albon got Pole in Monza, but finished 3rd with Leclerc between he and I, but that was a pure race strategy win as it went from Full Wet, to Inters, to Dry's and I had the optimal switch times, especially compared to the AI, including a safety car period that started as I was rounding the final corner.

Fun game so far, might try your time trial runs then use the AI calculator, usually I punch in my best Practice/Qualifying time and use the Difficulty Calculator, sometimes I'm as high as 109% and others as low as 89% depending on track(s). Some times my pole times of 109% turned out to be 4th or 5th with no where near the race pace to maintain the single lap time, it was all better strategy ERS use and getting to 0% by the finish line with the AI obviously did not.

Based on this anyone have any suggestions for a new to series racer?

I went from 90-100 depending on track to 80. Now I know I need to be better but rain in this game I’m just sliding around and some kerbs are like driving on ice. Overall I like the game though. I’m trying to have fun if I wanted simulation I’ll go to iracing or AC.

I started around 76 this year after ending last year around 87 and was on poll by several seconds so I keep bumping it up. I just did my first qualifying session for my second season and even on 95 I was on poll by nearly 0.7. Honestly didn’t think I’d be raising the AI difficulty that much during the first season but I swear it keeps getting easier. I even started from the back of the grid on purpose for the final race in Qatar and still won by a fairly convincing margin in only a 14 or so lap race on 94.

I'm using 62 difficulty to try to get my VCARB on the top step of the podium every race. I love how unrealistic it is. Sergio occupying the Red Bull seat just makes it that much funnier.

What I like to do is take part in 1 practice session in a difficulty near what I’d usually use, and do a fast lap at the end. Then see who I’m around, and see if that’s who I’d expect. Factor in ofc track evolution and softer tyres than some cars, and try to adjust the difficulty to fit that

Thanks for the tips. Very helpful!
I cannot seem to pass 55 AI level.

I’m currently on 84 and constantly hitting pole or second in a Mercedes which in my career Hamilton normally gets 9-5 so I may need to increase

I played my first career race in Melbourne on 71, and it was pathetically easy, now I'm going to try 76.

I do want to play on 80, but if an overpowered driver like Verstappen is in the game who destroys everything like in F1 2021, it's incredibly difficult to find the right AI level, especially on a track like Monaco...

I should also mention that I'm playing on a controller, so I'm automatically slower than wheel players, who in my book might have an edge around tracks like Monaco or Singapore. Also, I don't want to earn bragging rights by just playing on 110 difficulty, I just want to have fun playing the game.

People complaining about the AI must play below 50% race length, i always do 50% and never had the extent problems i see and hear, but everything i’ve seen from youtubers etc, at longest do 25% races, no wonder the simulations are fucked during changeable sessions when you aren’t allowing it enough time simulate, what you’re going to get is high peaks and troughs during a shorter period of extreme situations such as tire wear etc. i hope people understand this
