“We got to see Magnus be magical.”

Get yourself someone who talks about you like Levy talks about Magnus.

Magnus in my mind could retire from ALL chess today and would be the GOAT. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t a big fan of chess when Kasparov was dominating, but to be so much better than everyone else in the era of engines the way Magnus is seems like it may never happen again.

Poh Yu Tian is indeed 13, i remember playing him during a tournament online during a rapid event(his elo was already above 1800 or 2000)not too sure, last year i was 13 his was 12, we had a draw position but i got into time pressure and the pressure of playing probally Malaysia's 1st GM so he was able to sac a bishop for 2 pawns, which was defendable for me but the pressure got me and eventually his rooks became too active and i resigned, he is extremely strong and underrated imo, i think last year he was 1800 and now 2100, insane growth, congrats on his against a GM tho

For those wondering why Georg Meier plays for Uruguay: There was some conflict between him and the german chess federation (you can read up on this if you are interested). He changed to Uruguay because his mother is from there.

Please give a summary of results of the major teams in the event at the end of each round. Right now I have no idea which team is winning

Levy may not be a FIDE Grandmaster but he sure is a recap Grandmaster. The most enjoyable 30 minutes of my day!

Levy I think it would be nice if you could show us scores and future matchups for some of the teams

This is such a cool format, players are really incentivized to win, so they take more risk, and play in really interesting ways

Hey Gotham! Thank you for showing the Supi match, we brazilians have a lot of hope in him, but he's not the only one! The entire team is great. Keep looking at his matches, I guarantee they are going to be very interesting. Supi has an excellent knowledge of chess and is a super creative and dynamic player, always playing for iniciative, so see him playing against 2600 or 2700 is going to be nuts!

Hey Gotham, I’ve been losing a lot of elo points recently and I’ve seen how well you’ve bounced back! Was wondering if you could make a video on how to restart your chess journey.

As a Bulgarian I am proud to see our team doing well. Here chess was last popular when Veselin Topalov was champion. Hope we get a good Olimpiad 🇧🇬🇧🇬

Thanks for bringing Supi to your analysis.

If he pops up (I believe he drew yesterday and didn't play for Sweden today), I would love to see a Tiger Hillarp Persson game, especially if he happens to play the a6 modern that he is kind of the leading theorist on.

Levy, as always it was a very intensive, interesting and enjoyable video! I was really proud of the results of Team Bulgaria and have to correct a slight mistake, the result against Croatia was 3, 5 vs. 0, 5 and even more impressive than you mentioned! Bulgaria has a very young team and I hope all of them to become GMs in the near future. ;o) I would love to see many more videos with Bulgarian players and strongly believe in your selection skills ;o)! Thanks a lot for the great job!

I love that you showed a game with a finn! The last pronunciation was correct, and Vilka doesn't really mean anything in finnish, the name is quite rare and has come fron Russia.
