Why Steering starts shaking at 55-65mph?

Most likely bad tire or wheel weight could have fallen off

Check the tires. The correct pressure will be marked on the tire. Add /remove air as needed. If thats fine, have the alignment checked and be sure there is no tire damage.

I have the exact same car. Usually good tire needs to be balanced or you have too much fix a flat in one of the tires that throws the balance off.

Tire balance. After a rotation was done on my GFs Camry we had to bring it back because a slightly vibrating tire wasn’t noticed until a rotation was done.

Could be a warped, rotor, or a bad tire

Could be a lot of things bring it to a specialized mechanic for that vehicle it might have been in a previous accident or the tire might be weren't there could be frame damage possibly a loose tie rod or boot

When was the last time you had your wheels balanced? If it’s been a while then that’s probably the first thing I’d try. I believe Toyota recommends balancing every 5k miles. Maybe it’s 6k. Your owners manual will have it.

If that doesn’t fix it then check alignment, suspension, etc.

Could be shock's in suspension, or tire balance is off

Front bearing gone, or get the tyres balanced be careful if you are swapping the tyres around some are one directional

I would start off by replacing your rotors, rotate the tires in the process and give it in alignment job. Make sure that you’re both front tires are the same brand that should settle? The problem if problems continuously arise I would replace the CV joint boot and shaft 😃

Wheel weight may have fallen off making it shake.. BUTT also check the inside of the wheel itself as some times with fwd's when after off roading mud first up on the inside of the wheel and dries hard this then throws your wheel balance out.. something it can be as simple as that..

Ive changed the tires winter to all season and most of the shaking is gone

Mine was shaking just like dat but harder. Tire ended up blowing up changed out tire and problem gone

My husband just bought a car and the wheel started shaking once you got pass 80mph

Same issue with my car steering is shaking while exactly on 100 but note in 110 120 or below to 100 . Can anyone help me what is the solution?

My Camry is making the same exact vibration, my lower control arms and struts are about 1 year old. I have no play on the wheels. I rotated tires (my tires where replaced 10 months ago) and vibration is still the same. And I also just replaced axle shafts thinking that would solve the problem (they had abnormal play) Could that be tie rods or a weak power steering?
