2023 Clinic Chains and Quarter Change

UHSAA football officials training video on chains and change of a quarter. (The chains portion of the video is the same video used last year but the change of a quarter section that starts at about the 17:15 mark is new training for this season.

I didn't expect the intro/outro to an officials mechanic instructional video to include KC and the Sunshine Band, but I'm glad it did.

23:00. Aren't the chain clips made with a yard marker indicator, also? So, if that were properly used, the linesman should have been able to look down and see that the chain marker was reading "30" as a reminder of where it was meant to go.

Very helpful! I would like to see you demonstrate efficient 2nd ball in mechanics if 2nd ball is located on far sideline. Does LJ bring 2nd ball in with him?

I’m struggling to find anywhere in the NFHS book on the correct way to mark the spot of the ball during scrimmage play.

Will it ever be possible that the “back chain” is placed in between the numbers?
