Yes, you can't tell if there is malicious code running on these modified distros. At least with Microsoft, you know with certainty that they are running malicious code to monetise your use of Windows.

Using ghost spectre windows from last 2 years never had any made the windows better for my potato laptop and performance is very very good

I installed this in a VM and ran anti virus scans with 4 different programs, and monitored outgoing connections for 2 weeks... Couldn't find anything dodgy. So i'll probably use this on my potato laptop. It's also hard and very time consuming to customise your own ISO to _this_ extent without breaking things, but everything i try is working fine so far. The latest Superlite SE release also includes StartAllBack, which restores Windows 11 missing functionality (taskbar, right click and so on) and uses even less RAM. The RAM usage is just 0.9GB with 4GB installed, and 1.1GB with 8GB.

Edit: So i've now installed this on my laptop, which is 10 years old with just 4GB RAM and a dual core CPU. Everything is way snappier than my standard Windows 10 install. Kinda feels like a free hardware upgrade. BTW there's gaming benchmarks on the 'Tech YES City' channel, but with the Windows 10 version, but it shows how these Superlite ISO's can make some nice improvements to frame rates.

I installed the basic Lite version on a spare computer. Installed in about 2 minutes. The first time I did it, the screen resolution was stuck on 600x800. NOTHING could change it. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled hoping I might strike lucky. And I was. The resolution now has many options. I think Lite is great. Makes the computer run very fast but I never use a browser with my passwords on it. Cheers.

I used the Windows 10 compact build and upgraded to Windows 11 compact. I had no problems. Did a lot of security tests and found nothing. Runs really well to be fair

Is there a way to permanently disable the scheduled Windows Defender scans? I have deleted the task in task scheduler, but it still gives me the "Scan now" message.

Nice review, short and to the point. He's Japanese, not Chinese. Possibly backdoors but what are the risks really? Won't be able to access your Lloyds account. Might be able to login to your Instagram or monitor your activity at best. Thousands of users, years of projects, reddit would explode with reports of accounts being accessed. But in the end, it's like you said, if he's able to do a project like this he is capable of many things. Any video recommendations to make genuine windows 11 achieve similar results?

I've been using Ghost Spectr over the 4 years, The issue now is when you're at Windows 11 21H1 Ghost spectre vers., you bave to clean install in order to upgrade in Windows 11 22H2 Ghost spectre vers.

I just installed the latest Compact version on an old T530 laptop (3rd gen QC CPU, 16GB, SSD) and it feels snappier than standard Win11 on my Thinkpad P50 with 6th Gen QC CPU, 32GB and NVMe drive. I feel like I can finally let go of my yearning for Windows 7 which was always super snappy on these systems.

Any responsible tech never uses pirated software, especially the OS since it controls everything outside the BIOS.
This may not be pirated but it has been seriously modified by “some person”. Fine if you use this out if curiosity on a machine isolated from the rest, but to use this version on “clients’ machines” as claimed by a poster?
