My father fought in the Bulge. He also commented about being scared sick. He also didn’t view himself as a hero. Gosh I miss him. He passed at age 72. He would be turning 99 this year. Heroes…. 😢❤

I learned being brave doesn’t mean not being scared, being brave means being scared but still performing your duty.

Really love this dude. He’s been easily my favorite of the vets shown. Such a genuine and humble guy. Wish him the best. He’s a really good guy, and I’m glad he got a chance to tell his story

My dad was in the Korean War. He didn’t talk to me or my brothers about the horrors he endured but he did open up to my wife about some of his experiences. They had a connection that I am very happy about because their conversations helped him make peace with the universe before his passing. Way to many have given so much for the whims of our politicians.

These men went for the duration, won, came home & built America’s golden age, living national treasures each & every man!

That is bravery, sir.
When you're scared, when you're always worried, 24/7. But you don't run away. You keep at it, day and night. Even seeing your friends die or horribly wounded. But you cowboy up and keep fighting. That's courage, sir!
