I have a very small but funny example, when. I was 16 and broke I was in the masjid for Jummah listening to the khutbah. The imam was talking about Sadaqah and said something along the lines of the charity is best when you need it but go or it all up for the sake of Allah . At this same time I was very thirsty and peckish and had £2 in my pocket and wanted a snack and drink and was planning to, I then heard that message and decided to donate. I was struggling financially in march few months ago during the first few days of Ramadhan, but I didn't want to lose out on the rewards so I kept donating in the blessed month. Alhumdulillah my story is that for the last 10 years I’ve never had to spend a single penny on marketing for new clients. I am from an Asian country. Years ago, I was jobless and homeless. I was getting a job in a bank and I was so looking forward to it. Meanwhile I happened to know that 'riba' or interest is prohibited and should avoid the job for the sake of Allah. Although it's hard, I didn't go for that banking job. After a few months, got an opportunity, tried for it and finally landed up highly paid job. Miracles happened, within few years I could buy a house and car, which would have been just a dream in the banking job. and now I quit that job too, because I feel it's enough for this life, and wanted to spend more time in ibàdat. I can't think of any specific story but Allah definitely puts barakah in my earnings. I'm able to support my wife and two kids despite not being on a high salary. And each time I want to change job for the sake of Allah (to avoid riba or be away from haram), I've managed to get a job exactly as the one I wanted despite the chances of doing so being slim. I have no doubt, if you do something solely for the sake of Allah, Allah will open doors for you that you did not imagine. I prayed for my first big job change in Umrah, just a month after returning I actually landed it. I do sponsor an orphan and have been doing so for about 5 years now so perhaps that was the cause.
