That's one of the optics that the German army uses . I'm a German infantry man and I used it in basic training now I use the G36 ka3. I don't like the standard sight because if it rains the optic gets even worse. But I can say the optic is better in real life than in the game

The thing is, in real life you usually shoot with both eyes open, thus the casing around the sight picture vanishes or is not hindering. That is why the ACOG in real life is so loved and respected. One friend of mine who is in the Bundeswehr also told me it isn't distracting as much as in video games.

For some reason developers do not want to implement how the human eye sees when firing a gun. Except for snipers you never shoot with both eyes closed, sometimes to help but mostly both eyes are open. The only game that implemented this was America's Army.

Its a backup sight for its main optic but seeing this is run and gun game, it wont be easy to use this. Its not a bad sight for what it is in the late 90's

I remember using this gun witb this sight in Escape from Tarkov.

It is not that small. I don't know why it is this small in Phantom Forces.

The G-36 stock sight is a double sight. Main sight is 3× (or 2× in some versions) with backup sight 1×

I usually only use the 3× main sight, and hipfire when someone is close. So the backup sight is not a big problem.

Fun fact this was an extension to the original built in sight on the G36 it was used for longer distance's but luckily the military saw no use for it besides taking off the sight frame and add a holo or a acog scope so historical accuracy, correct but actual use was terrible
