This music captures the true meaning of Batman more than anything.

This track in particular really tells the story of the birth of Batman. You can hear the tragedy of a child losing his whole world, and having to grow up coping with it. There is sorrow and confusion, but a glimmer of hope that survives. That motivates him with a drive and purpose to make a difference in the world.

I love the badass Hans Zimmer themes, They are amazing and such fire in your blood feeling, but Newton Howard, Man his quieter/emotional themes feel like a knife in the heart.

One of the best songs in the soundtrack trilogy... BTW!! I love this movie over the other 2 parts. This give me a lot of emotions and keeps me enjoying good times of thriller and action... Thats how the truly Batman has to do!! Thanks for sharing this awesome song.

amazing ....simply amazing how Hans Zimmer can go from something as calm and relaxing as this to make a menacing theme like Gothams Reckoning on The Dark Knight Rises soundtrack, the guy is a genius and easily the best composer ever :)

For some reason I can't help but think of my time in the Army when I hear this beautiful piece of music

The best use of this amazing piece wasn't even in Batman... It is a little known film done by Jeremy Clarkson of TopGear/Grand Tour fame, called "The Greatest Raid of All", about an epic operation by British Special Forces to destroy a drydock in France during WWII.

At the very end of the film, he uses this song to describe the monument to these daring men... And as Clarkson says... It seems... Rather small. This song brings back a rememberance of all veterans who have fought for freedom.

Regards

For some reason, when I listen to this track by itself, it has a feeling of resignation and makes me think about the Batman's end (rather than his beginning). However, if I see this scene in the movie, it gives a sense of motivation instead.

I always loved the BB soundtrack the most, despite it not being the most tense/epic as TDK or TDKR. Also, I love the photo and the way it gradually zooms in...something about the quality of it makes it look like its three dimensional..

"You are afraid, but not of me. Tell us Mr. Wayne, what is it that you fear?" Quote Ras Al-Ghul played by Liam Neeson.
