It doesn't matter who did it because they won't be punished and we all know it. If you still own a business in the Bay Area you should expect this to be a regular occurrence.

The espresso machine is worth way more than the cash register, but that’s well beyond the knowledge capacity of that crook

That thief probably came to case the place during the day. The shop owners should check their security camera videos (if they have that), to see if any of the customers that week resemble the thief. Also perhaps they should replace that wooden door with a metal gate. ALL the business shops along Mission street have metal gates, for good reason. Otherwise crooks might see this video news, and be temped to steal her expensive coffee equipment. Keiko's Coffee is a new business (7 months). So that owner is a bit naive.

Question
Why would you leave cash in a cash register that can be stolen?
When I worked at McDonald's 40 years ago, everything was in a huge safe that couldn't be lifted

SF needs a mayor that shows criminals no mercy.

San Francisco is so horrible now, Oakland is even worse.

Can't leave money in the stores. Even a car wash was robbed, thieves using the roof as entry. The guy has $12, 000 stolen. Keep money in a safe in a safe place!

Having a business in San Francisco specially you need a metal steel door and steel windows not a wooden door and a A lot of cameras and two or three alarms system. That is it.

Criminals is SF and Oakland have no fear that they will be caught. It's like taking candy from babies. The police are understaffed and not equipped to deal with all the breaking.

With such pixelated, low resolution cameras using footage to identify a perpetrator is nearly impossible. Shame on whoever sells that system: it’s useless. There’s no excuse for such poor video these days.

Close your shop. Sell what equipment you can and move on. Don’t bother being a business here. Inconvenience the customers and change might happen.

Hey, they've been robbing me for years. Coffee should be $1 a cup. It's a bean. That's it.
