I think you still need an external computer to mix down to...also, it shows a full band recording here in the video...can you record individual tracks, one at a time...? Say I want to record a drum track...can I listen back to the drum track after I've recorded it and then overdub a bass track, and then a keyboard track while monitoring pre-recorded tracks ? It seems to me that this is more geared towards live band / sound production / recording, rather than studio recording.

Just got the model 16. Still a lot to learn about this unit. This mixer does not advertise midi but my computer can see midi 1 and 2 from model 16. I also noticed some midi settings in the menu. Can you please clarify? I did not find anything about this in the manual (yet).

What is the major difference between the Model 16 and Model 12? Do they both offer DAW control features?

Are the mic preamps the same in the 12, 16, and 24 ? Also, can outboard mic preamps be used while bypassing the Tascam mic preamps ?

Hi guys! i have a question... When i connect it on the computer my volume on the mac is blocked, i only can turn the volume down on the tascam...with my older audio inetrface it doesnt happened to me, so i assume this is a thing that this mixer does, can i change it?
