How to open a Lily-Lark parasol

Bamboo can be sticky when opening your parasol. Sometimes you need to 'Pop' it open. Don't be afraid to use some pressure. It will eventually soften up and be easier to open, but many parasols will need you to 'pop' them open for awhile.
