12:1 looks awesome and you can even record 4K 60P 12:1 RAW in UHS-I SD card (although the Blackmagic suggest using UHS-II ), That's insane.

Great test. As others mentioned I would think motion and heavy detail in scenes would reveal more of a difference in compression qualities but for interviews and similar shots 12:1 looks rock solid!

I personally like BMRAW UHD 3:1, but I love the comparison between all the different choices.

Thank you very much! Great comparison, but it was nearly impossible to see any difference. Plus, you did not give any solid conclusion, pretty much stating that they are all great. Could you please make a solid suggestion, which setting has the best quality? Thank you very much!

Beautiful video color, and super clear picture. Did you use speed booster on the BMPCC 4k camera?

I'll be honest, as a filmmaking I try to observe what viewers notice and my conclusion is with a nice color correct and grade, I just don't see them seeing a big difference. Which of course is better for our storage lol "as I set the braw to 3:1 because I'm a hypocrite" lmao

This is actually a really good video, was expecting to be just another dude ranting and showing bad comparisons but this was actually a good comparison, not much to compare there, but that's probably because 12:1 is still great and youtube also doesn't help, but since you compared the original footage in your own monitor and corroborate the results, we can take your opinion into account too, thanks a lot!

Crossfades aren't conducive to spotting the difference between two shots in a comparison.

which setting is best for best details? If shooting a film, i want the best quality. Is BRAW DCI/Constant Q0 the best?

This is a valid test when you have the original footage. However, YouTube's compression algorithm is the equivalent of a 100:1 compression ratio. So this isn't a valid comparison of compression ratios, because both clips are now compressed at the same ratio of 100:1. Here's an analogy; let's say you're wondering if finely chopped garlic tastes better than roughly chopped garlic. But before you do the test, you toss all your garlic in a blender; now it all tastes the same. That's basically what YouTube is doing here.

You should see differences after an heavy manipulation in post-production. Even the smallest ProRes LT that the camera could record should show almost no artifacts if you don't push it in color correction.

The ring light ruined her eyes, but the comparison of settings is appreciated.

Thanks for posting the comparison clips. How are BRAW files to work with compared to similar size/quality ProRes files? I think either codec looks great, but I'm curious about how BRAW files are to work with in Premiere Pro, and round tripping from Premiere to Resolve and back. I've read a few posts that BRAW files can be problematic with Premiere when collecting for output, and the round trip with Resolve.
