The DD jab I’ve heard is referring to SA finally adding a neo ring to their voice coil after years of hatin DD’s supercharging with neodymium rings. Can’t beat em, copy em.

I was a huge Dd supporter because of there 12 volt Now that sundown has a 12 volt amp im loving it!!!

I've played with a lot of the lcsv2s. They do REALLY well in almost any enclosure, not as picky as many other subs. I can throw 2 12s or even 10s in my sedan in any box and get 140+dbs on 1300.

The sensativity in the dd is 2 db higher so it will be little louder on same power

Great final thoughts. It's so easy to get caught up in the numbers, but I throw the meter on the windshield once in a while and honestly I rarely listen to it over maybe 125

I personally like the way that dd sounds. I have 2 sl612s in my truck 2 2508s in my vette 2 818s in my tahoe and are presently building a truck with 3 9915bs. I have heard a lot of sundown and they are a quality brand. Just don't understand why people brand bash. "Can't we all just get along"

Correct me if I'm wrong but sundown is known more for SPL and massive bassheads then SQ and more "clean" sounding subs. That being said, great comparison as always Rob, always look forward to you uploads!

DD FTW. my in home setup has 2x dd 506 subs and vo b1 tweeters. in my car i run 1x dd 712 on a SD 3kw evo4 amp and it handles it easily. mids/highs: dd vo m6.5 + dd ex6.5 (rear) + dd CT28 tweeters on a SD 400.4 evo4 amp. very good SQ and it gets loud and plays lows very nicely

I have heard both and the DD is a much better sounding sub. That being said I love Sundown, but your comparing a company that makes Ferrari's to one that makes jacked up Diesel trucks imo.

These subs remind me of my 18 year old MTX Road Thunder RT12-04 twelve’s. They weren’t mind blowing but they just sounded really really good
